20 reasons to work in partnership with Kings Court Trust

Posted by Kings Court Trust

Kings Court Trust is celebrating its 20th anniversary since being founded in 2002. 20 years on, we are proud to be the UK's leading specialist estate administration provider and work in partnership with hundreds of Will Writers, Financial Advisers, Estate Planners, and Funeral Directors to provide our award-winning probate and estate administration services to their clients.

In honour of our anniversary, we’re sharing 20 advantages of building a mutually beneficial partnership with Kings Court Trust. Whether you currently work with us, or you are considering partnering with us, we hope this blog highlights the benefits for your business and clients.

Let’s start with 10 benefits for you and your business:

1. We’re an award-winning provider

In 2019, 2020, and 2021, we were crowned Probate Provider of the Year (Large Firms) at the British Wills and Probate Awards. We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from the industry, and it’s a testament to our outstanding approach to client care as we support bereaved families at the difficult time of losing a loved one.

2. Your business will have an enhanced service proposition

By adding our award-winning probate and estate administration services to your business offering, you are positioned to provide your clients or their families with even more support. This will enable you to provide a fully holistic service for your clients, from providing support to your clients during their lifetime to helping their families when they pass away. You can also support any of your clients that are named as an Executor in someone else’s Will.

3. Create an additional revenue stream

For each referred estate that we administer, you’ll gain a generous percentage of fee share, providing your business with an additional revenue stream.

4. We’ll refer beneficiaries back to you

As part of our partnership, we'll refer any beneficiaries back to you to help expand your client base and grow your business. If you’re a Will Writer, we can send you referrals for beneficiaries who wish to create or update a Will. If you’re a Financial Adviser, beneficiaries who require financial advice will be referred back to you, presenting you with the opportunity to retain and gain funds under management.

5. We provide our partners with a free and secure document storage solution

You can store documents, such as Wills, Lasting Power of Attorneys, and Deeds, in our secure document storage facility. There is no cost for storage or individual retrievals to provide added value to our partnership.

6. Access to our exclusive Partner Portal

Our Partner Portal enables partners to refer cases, track referrals, view case progression, access our document storage solution, request free printed literature to share with clients, and utilise educational resources such as training videos, webinars, and guides.

7. Marketing support and literature

To help you promote our probate and estate administration services to your clients, we provide our partners with free marketing support and content. This includes digital and physical literature, a bi-monthly white labelled newsletter, educational blogs to share with clients, and content that can be used on your website.

8. Access to free educational resources

Our partners have exclusive access to resources to help expand their probate and estate administration knowledge. We host regular webinars, publish informative blogs, and share useful guides to contribute to your continuing professional development.

9. A dedicated Business Development Team to support the partnership

Our Business Development Team is on hand to answer your questions, provide advice, and help you support your clients. We are keen to work together to ensure we create a mutually beneficial partnership.

10. We’re based in Bristol with nationwide coverage

Although our head office is in Bristol, we have nationwide coverage and can provide our services all across the UK.

Now, let’s move on to 10 benefits to give you peace of mind that your clients will be in safe hands:

11. We provide free, practical, impartial advice

Our friendly team of specialists are on hand to provide practical support and guidance on what to do when someone dies. On the initial call with your client, a member of the team will provide free advice on the next steps following a bereavement and offer a no-obligation quote if they could benefit from using one of our probate and estate administration solutions.

12. We offer a variety of solutions to suit every family

Our solutions range from just obtaining the Grant of Probate to completing the full estate administration process. In 2019, we expanded our services to introduce a variety of solutions to help even more families.

13. We only offer fixed and transparent pricing

We pride ourselves on keeping the prices for our services competitive, transparent, and fair, so we only offer fixed pricing. We also highlight exactly what is and isn’t included in our fixed fee to provide full transparency.

14. Informative web pages to answer frequently asked questions

Your clients will naturally have questions about probate and estate administration, especially if they have never dealt with a loved one’s estate. To help them better understand the processes, we produce regular client blogs on a variety of topics. Additionally, our probate, estate administration, and what to do when someone dies web pages provide a comprehensive breakdown of the answers to the commonly asked questions.

15. We are regulated by choice

Estate administration providers are not required to be regulated. Despite this, we have chosen to be regulated to ensure our clients get the added security and protection that our regulator brings. We are regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), which is a licensing body for probate. The ICAEW’s role is to ensure client protection and the provision of a high-quality professional service.

16. A dedicated point of contact

Every estate is assigned a dedicated Personal Estate Manager who is the main point of contact throughout the administration. They are on hand to provide regular updates and make the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

17. Leading technology and systems

We have invested in the industry’s leading case management system to improve efficiencies throughout the estate administration process. Your clients can rely on the fact that we have leading technology and systems in place to ensure the estate is administered efficiently.

18. In-house expertise

Estate administration is all we do, and our tax and legal teams have the expertise to advise on any situation. We know how to handle intestacy, locate missing beneficiaries, deal with foreign shares, and reseal a Grant of Probate. We have an abundance of experience when it comes to dealing with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

19. No upfront costs in full estate administration cases

In full estate administration cases, there are no upfront costs required and we will take our fee once sufficient funds have been collected in. In the rare instance where the estate does not have enough funds to pay our fee, payment will be required upfront. If we’re not taking care of the full estate administration process, our fee will also be payable upon instruction.

20. We aim to pay inheritance quickly

We are committed to administering the estate as efficiently as we can, and we’ll distribute the assets as soon as possible to ensure your clients receive their inheritance quickly. Wherever feasible, we will make interim payments to beneficiaries, so your clients don’t have to wait until the end of the process.
