From launching new technology solutions to managing a record number of estates, 2016 was a successful year for a number of reasons at estate administration specialist Kings Court Trust.

One of the main achievements was the in-house development of their app, Onsite, which has helped transform the business’s sales process and empowered their network of business partners to provide quotes and close sales without any direct input from the Kings Court Trust sales team. The app has been a key driver of a new distributed sales model that has proven popular with business partners and clients alike, as it enables them to offer a market leading estate administration service more effectively and efficiently than ever before.

Throughout 2016, Kings Court Trust provided extensive training and support to hundreds of Will writers, funeral directors and financial advisers to ensure that they felt confident in using Onsite, which in turn allowed them to provide a fixed fee quote for their clients quickly and conveniently.

This change has been well received, with 50% of all of sales in 2016 being carried out using the technology – previously the majority of sales were carried out at face-to-face meetings. The introduction of electronic contracts also means that the whole sales process can now be carried out remotely, which means that Kings Court Trust can assist more families than ever before.

Tom Curran, CEO at Kings Court Trust, commented: “The implementation and promotion of our exclusive app has meant that we have been able to help a record number of families – managing a record number of estates in 2016. The move to a more technologically focussed sales process means that our service is even easier to access, with Onsite able to produce a fixed fee quote within a matter of minutes.

However, we understand that some families still want the reassurance of speaking face to face with an expert.  That’s why we still offer the opportunity for customers to meet with one of our estate administration specialists in the comfort of their own home, or over the phone.

We have lots of exciting plans in place for 2017; from growing our partnership network to delivering targeted marketing campaigns to increase awareness of our service. We expect that this will result in even more bereaved families being able to access our service over the course of the year.”

Kings Court Trust specialises in providing a comprehensive, efficient and cost effective estate administration service to families at their time of need. Since 2002, they have helped more than 7,500 families deal with the estates of their loved ones and have accurately distributed over £1.5 billion in inheritance.  They work with a UK wide network of business partners including Will writers, financial advisers and funeral directors to offer practical advice and support to families dealing with bereavement.
